Problem likely to be fully electrified this year

Jharkhand is likely to be fully electrified the year of 2012 with the state government planning to provide capacity to the remaining 632 villages under the Deendayal Upadhyay Gam Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), said an official on Wednesday.

On the scheme, the Centre will bear 60% of the total cost, the agricultural Electrification Corporation (REC) 30% factors state 10%. “The need measure document has been submitted to the REC. The villages may be electrified under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) launched with April 2005.

The Narenda Modi government aims to provide uninterrupted capacity to villages through separate Transformers Optimus Samsung Note 3 case due to agricultural and non-agriculture consumers, additionally effecting total metering to bring log technical and commercial losses for discoms.

“The purpose is to prevent overloading of Transformers Note 3 case and free up electric supply to rural slimmer. Previously we were providing 10kVA/16kVA transformers in rural areas. Under the DDUGYJ, we plan to install 25 kVA transformers in villages, ” Thakur said.

Under RGGVY, rural loved ones under below poverty line may be given connections. In DDUGJY, contacts will be given to all. There will be 33 kV dedicated feeders to run lawn pumps under Tilka Majhi Krishi Pump Yojana. Till now 90 power substations, out of the 107 plotted under RGGVY, have been installed. Others in the industry will be executed under DDUGJY. This particular JUVNL is executing 11 flexibility substations — five in Palamu, Garhwa and Latehar and four with East Singhbhum, Saraikela-Kharsawan, West Singhbhum, Thakur said. Eight substations appeared installed in Chatra but can’t be charged up.
